Oliver loves a farm and I do too, so i am always looking for a new one to explore.  This time we decided to visit Fishers Farm park which is about an hours drive from us.  This was back in early March and it was pretty chilly and very wet, but we had our coats and wellies so not a problem! What child doesn't love a muddy puddle! We went on a midweek afternoon with my dad and it was literally empty, we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves!

Its a lovely farm with so much to do.  Animal petting and feeding which is always fun for little ones.  Oliver loved being able to get in with the rabbits.  We fed the goats, there were baby piglets and mummy even fed a cow an orange.  Lots of the usual farm animals to see.  Seeing new born rabbits in a basket was possibly the cutest thing iv ever seen.  Spring is always a lovely time to visit a farm with all the new additions being born.

Big bonus for us - trampolines! They have two large bouncy pillows (one for little kids and one for older ones) and also large trampolines with nets around them.  It was so quiet that me, Oliver and grandad had a trampoline each at one point! So much fun!

There is a big castle play area to explore with slides and sand pit areas - some with little diggers and buckets and spades.  There was actually a whole other play area I think may have been a pirate ship which we didn't even get to as we didn't have time.  (We should have gone early!)

In a wooded area on a little trail you can find lots of mini log cabins to climb in and play inside.  A small track set aside for mini tractor ride-ons was a hit as soon as we walked in.  There are also a few rides, because it was off peak these were only running at certain times throughout the day but I assume in summer these would be going constantly.  There was a carousel type ride, teacups and a train that goes round and round.  There was no extra charge for these rides (not sure if that's the case in summer).

Then a good old tractor ride in a trailer around the fields and past the stables to see the horses, cows and any animals that were out grazing.

We weren't prepared with a packed lunch so we headed in to buy food. There was a small cafe/kiosk selling crisps and sandwiches but I think because it was so quiet there wasn't much choice so we decided to head into the restaurant - especially as it had cosy fires and it had just started chucking it down! The restaurant food was delicious! They had a great menu similar to a pub, lots of choice and it was good quality.  The service was great, staff seemed friendly and genuinely pleased to see us (i guess as it was so quiet!)

Little mention for the toilets, we had not long done potty training so I was carrying a potty around all day but I found I didn't need it as all the toilets had little toilet seats which was a nice touch.

Price wise March is considered low season so it was £10.75 per person, at the moment its mid season (midweek) which is £13.75 each and in the summer holidays it will be £16.75 per person.  Personally i think the price is reasonable for the amount of entertainment there.  It is somewhere you could easily spend the whole day and not get bored.  There is also a large indoor soft play which we didn't even see, so if that's your bag there's that option too!

Overall we had a brilliant afternoon, I wished wed gone earlier and had the whole day there! Would definitely recommend this farm park, we will be going back!
