We love a farm and this year we've been to quite a few as animals are certainly Oliver's thing right now...especially chickens.  Godstone has everything you need for a good family day out.  It's pricey but when you see how much there is to do, you can easily spend a whole day there.  Adults and children over 2 years old cost £9.40 each, children 1 years £3.60 and under 1s are free.  You can make it cheaper for yourself by not adding to that and taking a picnic.  There are also sometimes deals on certain sweet packets or offers online if you keep your eyes peeled.

As well as all the usual farm animals that you would expect to see there are several play areas including a huge sandpit. In the summer Oliver spent an hour just in the sand pit.  There is indoor soft play as well which we hardly used but its a good size if the weather wasn't the best. Tractor rides are an extra cost and we haven't been on those yet, so can't say if they are worth it.

There is an indoor barn where you can touch and hold some animals which is really lovely.  Oliver got to hold a rabbit for the first time this summer and he is still talking about it now!  They do pig racing events are certain times as well which is fun to watch and everyone gets very competitive shouting out the names of their winning pig!

The food was ok in the café, they do some hot food but we just had sandwiches (which we could have made at home had we made the effort) but there is a really good ice cream stand with lots of different flavour scoop ice creams worth sampling, very tasty!!  There is also a gift shop which sells some nice bits, although after going in there telling Oliver we were definitely not buying anything dinosaur related at an animal farm, we came out with a triceratops *sigh*.

It does get busy in the height of summer and at weekends but farms are great all year round.  There's a large free car park and its buggy friendly.  It's definitely a great day out and I think you can buy season tickets if its somewhere you want to go on a regular basis.  Love seeing the baby animals, there always seems to be piglets every time we go!
