The Llama Park - Forest Row Sussex

We arranged to meet up with family and wanted to go somewhere between our two homes so we settled on trying out the Llama park! Its not just llamas there are other farm animals - pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, Shetland ponies and a random reindeer! You can buy a bag of food to feed certain animals at the entrance.

The walk around the fields and animals did not actually take very long, we probably spent an hour walking before we had got back to the start. Although there was a woods that could be explored but it was not very buggy friendly.  The rest of the park was fine for buggies - a little bumpy in places but not unmanageable.

Once you have walked around the animals you get to the picnic and play area.  They have a permanent bouncy castle that's free to go on as much as you like.  This was a bit hit with Oliver and my nephew Max! I may have had a little turn...

The play area was pretty cool, several slides and climbing apparatus a bit like a trim trail.  Watch out for the peacock who likes to see what everyone's got for lunch!

The cafe we popped in for an ice cream before heading home, they did sell food and drink as well although it was fairly pricey.

It was an enjoyable afternoon out but it did feel a bit expensive overall for the facilities they had on offer.  £10 per adult, £8 per child, under 2 years is free.  It was a similar price to other farms where there there is plenty to entertain for a whole day, where I'd say at the llama park you get maybe 3 hours worth.

One of the things they advertise is taking a llama for a walk which sounds fun but its £40 per person or a family (2 adults 2 children) £60 for 45 minutes which seems a bit unaffordable unless you have a major llama fan on your hands and its a birthday present?! Kids have to be 6 years or older to take part in the llama walks.

We had a lovely time and if you live local I'd say its worth an afternoon out but its not somewhere id go back to again and again.
